Your Bio

I am a lawyer in my late fifties with a long-time photography hobby. My wife, Peggy, tolerates my habit (hobby) reasonably well but draws the line at carrying, or even holding, my camera bag. We live in Camp Wood and Houston, Texas and mostly divide our time between the Texas Hill Country and the Texas Gulf Coast. The comments and the many fine photos of others on Smugmug are an inspiration and a big help to me in my efforts to improve my photos.

I usually shoot in Nikon's RAW format and process the images using Apple's Aperture software and various plug-ins. My current favorite plug-ins are Nik Software's Viveza and Color Efex Pro. My post processing is intended to approximate that which could be done when printing an image from film.
